Off season Or Shoulder Season

What’s your best tip for budget travel?

Want to travel more while spending less? Here’s my number one tip for budget travel!

Travel during the off-season or shoulder season!

Most people want to travel during peak season when the weather is perfect and everyone else is on vacation. But that’s exactly when the flights and accommodation prices are at their highest.

If you can be flexible and travel just before or after the peak, you can slash the cost of flights and hotels by up to half. You will still get great weather and amazing experiences, but with fewer crowds and much lower prices.

It’s the simplest way to make your travel budget go twice as far!

Tom And Jerry

Who is your favorite cartoon character?

Are you Team Tom or Team Jerry?

This classic cat and mouse duo has been making audiences laugh with their endless chases since 1940 , and they are still my favourite cartoon characters to this day.

There’s something timeless about their comedy. No dialogue needed, just pure slapstick, clever animation, and the ultimate rivalry that never gets old.

Whether you were Team Tom or Team Jerry, you have to admit these two created some of the most iconic moments in cartoon history.

Who else grew up watching Tom and Jerry? Let me know in the comments section!

Your Mindset

How does your mindset affect your financial success?

Your bank account doesn’t lie,it reflects your mindset.

Every dollar you spend, save, or invest is a decision driven by how you think about money. A scarcity mindset keeps you stuck in the cycle of impulse spending, debt, and living paycheck to paycheck. An abundance and growth mindset helps you make intentional choices that build wealth overtime.

Want to shift from struggling to building?

Start here:

  1. Pause before you purchase. Ask, is this a want or a need, and does it align with my future goals?
  2. Pay yourself first. Treat saving and investing like a bill you must pay every month.
  3. Reframe debt. Use credit as a tool, not a crutch.
  4. Invest in your financial education daily. Small lessons compound just like money does.

Wealth isn’t built overnight. It’s built one mindset shift and one daily choice at a time!🙏

The Unspoken Message

If your pet could talk, what would be the first thing it says?

The first thing it says is,i love you but I’m hungry, and i need to go outside to figure out why you leave me alone everyday!

I do hear this Unspoken message all the time. Our pets love us unconditionally, but they have simple, consistent needs that we can’t overlook .

Here are 3 quick tips to keep your furry friend happy while you are away:

  1. Stick to a routine. Consistent feeding and walk times reduce anxiety and help them feel secure.
  2. Give them enrichment. Puzzle feeders, chew toys, and background music can keep them busy and comforted when you’re away.
  3. Make your return count. A short walk, some playtime, and undivided attention reassures them that they are loved and never forgotten.

Remember, a little planning goes a long way in making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for every single day.

Haunting Of Hill House

Have you ever regretted reading a book — which one and why?

Some books are frightening while you are reading them. Others stay with you long after you have turned the final page.

The Haunting Of Hill House by Shirley Jackson was that kind of book for me. Its atmosphere created an intense sense of fear, sadness,or psychological unease that lingered long after i finished reading.

It’s a powerful reminder that great horror doesn’t always rely on shocking moments, sometimes it gets under your skin through mood, ambiguity, and the things your mind imagines.

A brilliantly written book, but one i still regret reading alone at night!🤪

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)

What’s the best and worst airport you’ve been to?

Once ranked as the best in the region,JKIA is today a shadow of its former self for frequent travellers.

What changed is not one thing, but a combination of frequent disruptions, efficient passenger processing, poor facilities, and frustrating bureaucratic delays.

For business travellers, logistics companies, and tourists, time is money! When an airport cannot guarantee smooth transits, efficient immigration, and security checks ,or reliable infrastructure,it costs the entire economy.

Kenya deserves a gateway airport that reflects it’s status as East Africa’s hub. Reclaiming that standard will require serious investment in system, facilities and customer centred operations

Have you travelled through JKIA recently? What was your experience?

The Expendables

What’s the most annoying trope in books or movies?

You know the one I’m talking about at that moment in a movie where they build up a major character, give them a great introduction, make you think they are going to be important for the whole film.

And then 20 minutes in, their plane crashes and they are gone!

As a film buff and story teller, this has to be the most annoying trope in movies for me. It’s often called Expendable ,or Decoy protagonist setup and it rarely works the way filmmakers think it does.

Instead of feeling shocked, the audience just feels cheated. You invested time getting to know that character, you started to care about their arc, and then the story pulls the rug out from under you for a cheap shock value moment.

A great twist should reframe the story, not derail it. If you are going to take a major player off the board early, their death has to mean something for the characters left behind and drive the plot forward in a way nothing else could.

Otherwise it’s just an expensive plane crash and a wasted character.

My Thirties

If you could relive one year of your life, which one would it be?

If i could relive one year of my life,it would be my thirties.

Not my twenties, not my childhood, my Thirties!

Why? Because that’s the sweet spot. I had enough energy to actually do things. To plan the trips,to host gatherings, to say yes to every outing with friends and families without feeling completely wiped out the next day!

Your twenties are for figuring out who you are. Your thirties are for enjoying who you’ve become, with the health and energy to share it with people you love.

It taught me something i carry with me now: Don’t wait for the perfect time to make memories. Use your energy while you have it. Plan that dinner. Take that weekend trip. Call your friends and get together.

Because one day you will look back and realise those outings weren’t just outings, they were the best year of your life.

Amani

Chagua utulivu, chagua shukrani, chagua upendo. Ndipo utajiri wa kweli utakaa moyoni mwako!

My Private Healing journey

What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done when no one was watching?

My private healing journey after being bitten by a dog taught me a lot about wound care that i now share with others in the healing and wellness space.

Here are a few key tips i learned along the way:

  1. Don’t underestimate proper cleaning. Thorough, gentle cleaning right away is the most important step to prevent infection .
  2. Keep it covered and let it breathe. Finding the right balance between protection and air circulation makes a huge difference in how quickly and cleanly a wound heals.
  3. Watch for signs of infection. Redness spreading, increased swelling, warmth or delayed healing are all signals to seek professional care immediately.
  4. Be patient and consistent. Healing isn’t always linear. Consistent after care, nourishment, rest support your body in doing its job.
  5. Always know how to get help. Home care is powerful, but a deep bite, or puncture wound should always be evaluated by a medical professional.

Please note this is based on personal experience and not medical advice. Always consult a healthcare provider for wound care.
