Busy Schedules

How do you make time for self-care?

Let’s be honest about self care: It doesn’t just happen. You have to make time for it!

We all have busy schedules and endless to-do lists, and it’s so easy to put yourself last. You tell yourself you’ll rest when the work is done, when the kids are in bed, when you finally have a free moment. But that moment rarely comes on its own.

The shift happens when you stop treating rest and wellness as a reward and start treating it as a requirement. Put it on your calendar like any other important meeting. Block out that time for a walk, for quiet time, for exercise, for sleep, and protect it. Make it non-negotiable.

You wouldn’t cancel on your most important client or your family. Don’t cancel on yourself. When you prioritize your own wellbeing first, you show up better for everything and everyone else.

Financial Lesson

What’s one thing you wish you had started doing earlier in life?

I wish i had started saving and investing earlier to take advantage of the power of compound growth.

You don’t need to start with a lot of money. The most important step is starting consistently and focusing on the long term.

A few simple habits can make a big difference:

  1. Automate your savings.
  2. Invest regularly.
  3. Focus on the long term.
  4. Avoid waiting for the perfect time.
  5. Increase your contributions as your income grows.

Time in the market can be more valuable than trying to perfectly time the market.

Start where you are,use what you have, and let consistency do the work. This is for education purposes, not financial advice!🙏

Dragon

If you could pick any fictional animal to be your lifelong companion (like a Pokémon or fantasy pet), what would it be?

If you work with dragon energy, you know they are not just powerful, they are deeply loyal.

A dragon doesn’t bond lightly, but once it chooses you,it chooses you completely! That bond brings a level of protection that is unmatched. Your dragon becomes a fierce guardian of your energy , your space, and your Spirit.

Here are 3 ways to honor that loyalty:

1. Acknowledge them daily. A simple thank you or moment of connection strengthens the bond more than any elaborate ritual.

2. Call on them for protection, not just power. When you feel energetically drained or unsafe, invite your dragon to stand guard. You will feel the shift instantly.

3. Trust their guidance. Loyalty goes both ways. When your dragon nudges you away from something or someone, listen! They see what we can’t!

Aragorn

If you had to switch lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you choose?

Aragorn,a true leader from the Lord Of The Rings.

Aragorn isn’t just a king because of his bloodline. Yes, he carries royal Numenorean blood the lineage of Elendil and Isildur, which gives him the rightful claim to the throne of Gondor. But a title alone doesn’t make a great leader.

What makes him the healing of Middle-earth is how heritage was shaped.

He had a lifetime of Elven training, raised in Rivendell as Estil and mentored by Elrond, trained by the Dunedain as a Ranger. Decades learning wisdom, warfare, healing, languages, and lore. He earned his strength and knowledge through discipline and service, not entitlement.

And most importantly,he had humility. He chose exile over claiming a throne he hadn’t earned. He served in the shadows, protected the weak without seeking glory, and never chose to believe in him.

That’s the formula: Heritage gives you potential. Training gives you ability. Humility gives you the right to lead.

The hands of the king are the hands of a healer, and so shall the rightful king be known.

The Joker

Have you ever liked a villain more than the hero? Who and why?

Why do I love Villains like The Joker more than the heroes:

It’s not because i want to be them. It’s because they do what we can’t!

Heroes follow rules. They represent who society tells us we should be disciplined, moral, and controlled.

Villains like The Joker break every rule. They say the things that we are not supposed to say. They act on the dark, chaotic impulses that we all have but they are forced to suppress to function in society.

Watching them feels liberating. For a moment,we get to live vicariously through someone with zero filter and zero consequences. They give a voice to the frustration, anger, and rebellion we have to hide everyday to be normal.

I don’t admire Villains because they are evil. I’m fascinated by them because they are free in a way we never can be!

King James Version

What’s the longest book you’ve ever read?

Fun fact from my reading time you might appreciate:

Why does it feel so much longer in the KJV compared to other translations? It comes down to the translation process. Hebrew is a very compact and poetic language. A single Hebrew word often carries a depth of meaning that requires several English words to fully translate and capture the same nuance, especially in formal ,word-for-word translation like the King James Version .

That extra length is not just filler, it’s an attempt to preserve the richness, emotion, and poetry of the original Hebrew. It makes for a longer read, but also a deeper one.

Have you ever compared Psalms in the KJV to a modern translation? The difference is amazing to see!

The Best Advice

What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?

If i could sit down with my younger self, here’s the advice i would give:
  1. Focus on personal growth. Invest in yourself every single day. Read the books, learn the skills, take care of your health, and get comfortable being uncomfortable. Growth isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it.
  2. Build strong relationships. Success means nothing if you don’t have people to share it with. Surround yourself with people who challenge you, support you, and bring out the best in you. Nurture those connections.
  3. Stop worrying about what others think. Seriously. The sooner you stop living for other people’s opinions, the sooner you start living for yourself. Do what feels right for you, not what you think will impress everyone else.

Your 20s and 30s are not about having it all figured out. They are about becoming who you are meant to be!

Decongestion

What’s one thing that would instantly improve your city?

A fully Operational Bus Transit System.

For years we’ve talked about decongestion , but the solution is clear: Move the matatu terminals out of the central business district and implement a proper, scheduled, high capacity bus system.

Here’s why this is a game-changer:

  1. It decongests CBD. Right now, thousands of matatus idle in the city centre, creating gridlock. Moving terminals to the periphery and using BRT corridors means faster movement for everyone.
  2. It saves time and money. A predictable transit system means you can plan your commute, spend less time in traffic, and be more productive.
  3. It makes the city walkable and livable. A less congested CBD means clean air, safer streets for pedestrians, and space to actually enjoy the city.

Decongestion isn’t just about building more roads. It’s about moving people efficiently!

Efficient cities move people, not just vehicles!

Nairobi National Park

What’s the longest trip you’ve ever taken?

Welcome to Nairobi National Park!

It’s the only wildlife park in the world where you can photograph lions, rhinos, giraffes, and zebras with modern skyscrapers in the background. Where else can you be on a game drive in the morning and in a city boardroom that afternoon?

Pro tip from experience:

Go early. Early morning game drives give you the best chance to spot lions and rhinos when they are most and the light is perfect for that iconic skyline shot.

The park is just 7 kilometres from Nairobi’s city centre, so you can easily do a half-day trip even on a short layover. Keep your camera ready,a telephoto lens helps you capture that incredible contrast of wild savanna against the cityscape .

Trust me, there’s nothing quite like watching a giraffe walk gracefully with Nairobi’s skyline behind it. It’s the ultimate reminder that in Kenya, nature and city life exist beautifully side by side.
