Forget dating apps for a second

How did you meet your significant other?

Love doesn’t always happen on dating apps. Sometimes it happens right where you already are.

I met my significant other through an everyday community space, and it’s taught me so much about how real connection actually forms.

Here are a few things I’ve learned about finding love organically:

  1. Show up consistently. Whether it’s a coffee shop, gym, volunteer group, class, or co-working space, familiarity builds comfort and trust.
  2. Be present, not just busy. Put the phone down, make eye contact , start small conversations. The community is built in those small moments.
  3. Lead with shared interest, not pick-up lines. When you connect over something you both already care about, the conversation flows naturally.
  4. Get involved. Join the event, say yes to the group hangout, help organize. The more you participate, the more you open the door for connection.

You don’t have to go searching far. Sometimes the right person is already in your everyday orbit.

The Spirit Of Harambee

What’s a cultural tradition from your country that you love?

One of the cultural traditions from my country that i love most is the Spirit of Harambee.

Harambee means pulling together and that’s exactly what it does. In Kenya, it’s more than just a word, it’s a way of life that unites people across diverse ethnic groups, backgrounds, and communities.

Whether it’s neighbour coming, together to help build a school, friends contributing, to support a family in need or a community fundraising for someone’s hospital bill or education. Harambee reminds us that we are stronger together.

It teaches us self reliance, unity and compassion. It shows that no matter where we come from, when we lift each other up, we all rise.

That spirit of unity is something i carry with me every day and something I’m truly proud of.

Sunday

If you could relive one day from your past, which day would it be and why?

There’re some days you don’t realize are perfect until they’re already memories.

If i could relive one day from my past,i would choose a Sunday. Not a big holiday or a milestone, just a quiet Sunday.

The kind of Sunday where no one is rushing. The house is calm. My family is all together in one room , laughing about nothing in particular, feeling completely safe and completely at peace.

No phone buzzing, no deadlines, no worries about tomorrow. Just togetherness in its simplest, purest form.

It reminds me that success is not always about the big moments. Sometimes it’s about protecting and cherishing those small, quiet moments that actually mean everything.

What day would you relive if you could?

Grave of the fireflies

What’s the last movie that made you cry?

The last movie that made me cry was Grave of the Fireflies .

It’s not an easy watch, but it’s an unforgettable one. What makes it so powerful is how it views world war11 through the helpless eyes of two orphaned children. No big battle scenes, no heroes, just innocence trying to survive in a world that has fallen apart.

It stays with you because it reminds you, what war really costs. It’s a beautiful heartbreaking masterpiece and one i think everyone should see at least once.

Have you seen it? What was the last film that really moved you to tears?

The moment politics began costing innocent lives

If you could erase one event from history, what would it be?

If i could erase one event from history,it would be the moment politics began costing innocent people.

Throughout history, political conflict, division, and the struggle for power have led to the loss of so many innocent people, people who had no part in the decisions being made, but who paid the highest price.

It’s a reminder of why empathy, dialogue, and humanity should always come before politics. At the end of the day, no political ideology or agenda is worth a single innocent life.

What we need more of is compassion, and commitment to protecting human life above all else!

Tuskegee Syphilis Study

What’s a conspiracy theory you actually find believable?

Tuskegee Syphilis Study

One conspiracy theory i find believable isn’t really a conspiracy theory, it’s a documented fact.

The Tuskegee Syphilis Study was a U.S Public Health Service study conducted from 1932 to 1972. Black men with syphilis were misled and denied proper treatment so researchers could observe the disease’s progression.

The lesson is bigger than history:

Skepticism toward institutions doesn’t come from nowhere. Trust must be earned through transparency, informed consent, and ethical action.

Question everything, but verify it with credible evidence.

When the future feels unclear

How do you deal with uncertainty?

Uncertainty is part of every business journey, but it doesn’t have to control you.

1. Focus on what you can control

2. Accept that discomfort is part of growth

3. Stay present instead of getting lost in “what ifs “

4. Take the next practical forward.

You may not be able to predict every outcome, but you can control your response, your effort, and your focus.

Progress often begins when you stop trying to eliminate uncertainty, and learn to move forward despite it.

It’s not turning 18

What’s a moment when you realized you were officially an adult?

Nobody tells you when you officially become an adult. There’s no certificate, no announcement

For me it wasn’t turning 18, or paying my first bill, or moving out.

It was the moment i stopped blaming other people for my problems and just quietly fixed them.

No drama. No complaining. No waiting for someone else to save me.

Just: This is the problem. How do I solve it.

And the other part?

Handling emergencies calmly. When everything goes wrong and instead of panicking, you take a deep breath and handle it. Step by step.

That’s when i knew I’d grown.

Adulting isn’t about age. It’s about accountability and composure under pressure.

The past should be the past

If you had a time machine and could send just one message to your past self, what would it say?

It’s so easy to get stuck looking backward. Replying to mistakes, holding on to regret,or wishing you could redo yesterday. But yesterday was gone, and it already took, what it was going to take.

Tomorrow,on the other hand,is full of possibilities. A new opportunity,a new connection,a new chance to get it right.

Live life for what tomorrow has to offer, not for what yesterday has taken

Here are 3 gentle reminders to help you shift your focus forward:

1.Let go to grow .

2.Focus on what you can control. You can’t change the past, but you can absolutely shape what you do next. One small, intentional action today creates momentum for tomorrow.

3.Stay open to what is next. The best things in life often come when you least expect them, but only if you are looking ahead with hope instead of behind with hurt.

You can’t move forward if you are still holding on to what is weighing you down. Acknowledge what happened, take the lesson, and leave the rest behind.

Your past shaped you, but it doesn’t have to define you. Keep your eyes on what is coming. That is where your future is waiting.
